Travel, learn, count and earn

Broaden your career horizons with ACCA

01 Apr 2010

For a rewarding career that includes the opportunity to travel, why not consider becoming a chartered certified accountant?

The global nature of the ACCA Qualification means that those looking to broaden their horizons can do so while learning and earning at the same time.

'International travel is definitely one of the perks of the job,' said ACCA member David Hilton, a manager and forensic accountant for KPMG LLP (US) in Washington DC. 'I spent six years with KPMG LLP's (UK) London office, during which time I also worked in Spain and Germany. I then moved to China, before settling here.

'The ACCA Qualification is highly valued around the world. It is wide-ranging, so you don't feel restricted. You can become an auditor, or work for a charity or a football club. You can work in the back office or in finance roles. You aren't tied to one sector.'
