The public interest channel of accaglobal.com contains information on ACCA's activities in the public domain.

One of the key roles of ACCA is to contribute to the debate on technical issues affecting business and accountancy and to represent the interests of its members in relation to the legislation and professional standards that they have to comply with in their work.

TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES

This section contains a wealth of thought leadership resources and publications relating to the major areas of interest within the finance profession.

Subject areas

This subsection contains news, resources, publications and research covering the following areas:

• Corporate governance
• International Financial Reporting Standards
• Money laundering
• Pensions
• Public sector
• Small business
• Sustainability.

Research programme

This subsection covers ACCA's well-respected research programme, generating high-profile, high-quality, cutting-edge research with global focus, wide dissemination and strong emphasis on public policy influence and practical value.

The subsection includes a database of all of ACCA's published research, research publications, events, and ACCA's Research Committee.

Technical policy papers

ACCA makes a number of technical policy submissions on consultation papers issued by UK Government departments and standard-setting bodies. This subsection contains a database of past technical policy papers along with ACCA's response to them.

There is also a listing of forthcoming papers that ACCA will be contributing to, along with details of how you can add your own feedback.

Technical library

This subsection contains a library of all of ACCA's published material in the areas of corporate governance, international financial reporting standards, money laundering, pensions, public sector, small business and sustainability.

For each of these areas you will find ACCA's research, technical policy paper responses, publications and periodical magazines and newsletters.

PRESS AND POLICY

The press and policy section contains ACCA's press output, including a fully searchable archive of our press releases, and details of what is being reported in the media about ACCA.

The policy subsection contains a list of our policy briefs and manifestos, and a copy of It adds up - our brochure about the areas of policy development that we are involved in.
