Taha Sharieff's career in accountancy began when she took up commerce subjects at school in preference to science. After training with a major accounting firm, she moved to ORIX Leasing, part of ORIX Corporation Japan.
While working in public practice, Taha witnessed first hand fall-out from Enron and other corporate scandals. 'Our entire audit approach changed and the scope of in-depth testing increased.' And change is a continuing theme for Taha.
