- In April, ACCA held a regional launch of the new ACCA Qualification in Trinidad and in Barbados. Former ACCA president Dennis Yeates attended and had an opportunity to meet members and FCCAs at the cocktail reception following the launch.
- High profile speakers and attendees at events:
- In March, at the Trinidad Corporate Social Responsibility event, the feature address was delivered by the Hon Penelope Beckles MP, Minister in the Ministry of Public Utilities and The Environment.
- Richard Young, managing director of Scotia Bank, was the main speaker at the CAT graduation ceremony, Trinidad, in April.
- Senator the Hon Dana Seetahal delivered remarks at the official launch of the ACCA Qualification in Trinidad in April.
- At the CAT/ACCA graduation ceremony in June in Barbados, Hilford Murrell, former president of the Barbados Economic Society and vice president, Finance, of the Barbados Chamber of Industry and Commerce, was the main speaker.
- Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas delivered the opening address at the 25th anniversary of the ICAC Conference. ACCA was the Titanium sponsor of the event in Trinidad in June.
- At the ACCA graduation ceremony in Trinidad in September, Anthony Webster, funding administrator, Funding Division of the Ministry of Science, Technology & Tertiary Education represented the Minister.
- The Hon Shaik Baksh, Minister of Education, delivered the feature address at the ACCA/CAT graduation ceremony in October in Guyana. Also present were the Hon Ashni Singh, Minister of Finance, and the Hon Harry Newbatt, Minister of Housing.
- At the Business Essentials for SMEs Conference in Barbados in October, the Hon Lynette Eastmond, Minister of Commerce, Consumer Affairs and Business Development, delivered the main address.
