Student and member support
A programme of student, affiliate and member meetings met the needs of these groups. Events included:
- British Council Careers Fair
- ACCA spoke to 244 students on a one-to-one basis during this three-day event; during his visit, Cyprus Minister for Education Akis Kleanthous, commented that ACCA 'would be very busy'. ACCA also spoke at the accountancy seminar held at the fair, which attracted an audience of over 70.
- Student meetings
- Five student meetings, providing information on the new practical experience requirements, took place in 2007. Over 320 students attended (245 in Nicosia and 75 in Limassol).
- Affiliate surgery
- Around a dozen affiliates took advantage of a drop-in surgery session in September to discuss their practical work experience and applying for ACCA membership.
