Reputation and influence
The following activities were undertaken and achievements recorded:
- Collaboration with the Fate Foundation/SMEDAN on 'Developing the Finance Profession in Nigeria'; involved hosting the 2007 SME Business Fair and sponsoring the 2008 Fair.
- Presentations at the University of Kano, to Citibank and to PZ Industries
- An agreement with the National Youth Service Body, Nigeria, to speak about the ACCA Qualification to students at every camp induction.
- ACCA presented at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Conference.
- Recent legislation says that all staff in the financial services industry must have a professional qualification - some banks have stipulated that the qualification must ACCA alongside national qualifications.
- Collaboration with junior schools on Finance week.
- Collaboration with State AGFs to provide staff training and support.
