Reputation and influence

Ongoing discussions were held regarding cooperation agreements with the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR) and the Association of Professional Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Moldova (ACAP RM). Joint events were organised throughout 2007.
The Minister for SMEs in Romania, Ovidiu Silaghi, attended and opened the 'IFRS for SMEs - a South-eastern European Outlook' conference in Bucharest in November.
The Vice-minister of Finance in the Republic of Moldova, Ioan Chicu, attended and spoke at the Conference on IFRS in the Republic of Moldova in November.
The magazine of the Chamber of Financial Auditors in Romania, Accounting and Audit, published articles by ACCA almost every month.

Members’ achievements

Serban Toader, was appointed senior partner, KPMG Romania
Laura Perrin, was named director of the KPMG Academy (training facility). Laura is also a candidate for ACCA Council in 2008.
