Events
- A jointly hosted banquet, CEO breakfast, and technical sessions were held in 2007 to celebrate the visit of IFAC President, Fermin De Valle, and IFAC CEO, Ian Ball. The banquet was attended by Council members and past presidents of all four IFAC bodies in Sri Lanka. The CEO breakfast was a great success with over 100 invitees participating.
- The third Sustainability Reporting Awards event was attended by over 250 guests comprising CEOs, CFOs, directors and other business leaders. Ceylon Tobacco Company and Diesel & Motor Engineering won the large and small-scale categories, whilst Hatton National Bank and Aitken Spence Hotels won commendations in their categories. The chief guest, Minister of Investment Promotion Navin Dissanayake, urged corporates to fully reap their investment in CSR and enhance their global competitiveness by producing sustainability reports.
- The inaugural ceremony of the global professionalism and ethics event, the third ACCA Sri Lanka National Conference, themed 'Creating the DNA of Tomorrow’s Professional', was attended by over 400 guests comprising CEOs, CFOs, directors and other business leaders and academics.
