Across the region
- Key regulatory players from Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia, Armenia and Russia were interviewed for the Manchester Accounting Educators' Forum speech in September, at the session dedicated to auditors' education.
- ACCA provided expertise for an accounting reform project in Russia ('Modernisation of Accounting Education in Russia').
- A series of meetings was held with the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, and Ministry of Finance representatives of Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia).
Ukraine
- An agreement for further cooperation was made with the Chamber of Auditors of Ukraine.
- An ACCA promotional newsletter is now being distributed, via the Central Bank of Ukraine electronic correspondence system, by the National Centre of Bankers' Training in Ukraine.
- ACCA Ukraine is now a full member of the European Business Association (650 of the biggest European companies represented in the Ukraine are members of the EBA).
- A radio advertising campaign ran on the three most popular radio channels in Ukraine from February to March; an advertising campaign was also run for commercial banks in Ukraine, promoting the ACCA Qualification and ICFE, run with Cambridge University ESOL.
- New relationships have been developed with the Ernst & Young Ukraine Academy of Business and SCM Holding.
Belarus
- ACCA has been officially introduced to the Ministry of Finance in Belarus, the Central Bank of Belarus and the EBRD Representative Office in Minsk.
- The DipIFR RUS program has been endorsed by the Central Bank of Belarus - 50 bankers have been trained so far.
Baltic States
- The Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors was introduced to the new ACCA Qualification.
Caucasus States
- An MoU was signed with the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic.
- The GFPAA (Georgia) qualification has been granted exemptions from ACCA Qualification Papers F1 to F3.
