Reputation and influence
- Continuing its strong relationship with CFO Research Services, ACCA co-sponsored a report entitled Corporate Ethics and the CFO: Balancing Principles and Profits in the Public Eye: The US Perspective. This report has been widely distributed among CFOs and other finance executives and is considered the first of its kind in the US.
- ACCA US participated as an exhibitor at two CFO Rising conferences for senior finance executives during the year - one in Orlando, Florida and one in Las Vegas, Nevada. ACCA US also exhibited at the Financial Executives International conference on 'Current Financial Reporting Issues in New York City', which attracted over 700 senior finance executives. Attendance at these three conferences served to increase awareness of ACCA in the US and enhance its reputation among an important group of stakeholders and decision makers.
- ACCA US members participated in a focus group on the fairness of the US tax system. This was part of a five-nation survey conducted under the direction of Prof Francis Chittenden, Manchester School of Business, UK, who designed the study framework and is analysing the results. A report will be published in 2008.
