Promoting sustainability

ACCA has always contributed to the sustainability debate, with an aim to promote transparency in reporting and practice.

We have been closely involved in:

• promoting and rewarding transparency both through the ACCA Awards for sustainability reporting and by supporting the GRI Readers’ Choice Awards
• the evolution and launch of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Guidelines
• lobbying for full cost accounting (FCA)

Sustainability reporting is an evolving area, and the boundaries are still developing. We plan to launch awards schemes in other countries. The new ACCA awards will bring developing best practice to the fore and will be influential in underpinning future reporting developments.

ACCA works with bodies around the world, developing our reputation and influence in this area.
